  Wow. Just wow.
  
  I've only been here for lunch, but it's freaking fantastic. Authentic Japanese food done so amazingly. Delicate and subtle, yet complex. I ordered the Ajishin udon noodle soup, which is topped with shrimp, tempura vegetable, hard boiled egg, and fried tofu. I couldn't stop raving about it during lunch and can't wait to go back. When I was eating it, I was transported back in time to when I was in Korea at a noodle restaurant on the coast of the sea (Note: I'm not saying Korean and Japanese food is the same, but this reminded me of just PERFECT noodle soup with seafood, so eating it reminded me of the last time I had that feeling).
  
  The green tea was very good. Service was excellent - servers were friendly, food came quickly, and never had an empty glass. The price is unbelievable. For less than $10 you can get a great quality meal that's very filling. I don't eat sushi, but my friends who've frequented this place for years said their sushi is top tier for the area. I'm looking forward to trying their curry too.
  
  Only a couple negatives, which are pretty minor. (1) It's small and rightfully popular, so it can take some time to get a seat if you get there at a bad time. (2) I wish they had beer.
  
  If you like Japanese food, especially noodle, sushi, and/or curry, it would be criminal to not try this place out. As a bonus, they're in the same plaza as Moose bakery, which is a Japanese bakery. Nothing better than having lunch then grabbing some buns and bubble tea afterward.

  One of my favorite places in Metro Detroit.
  
  The menu is small but, they follow the mantra of quality over quantity. They specialize in Japanese udon from simple broth to elaborate udon with tempura and egg. I would provide a picture, but, unfortunately, I dive right in. Oops.
  
  They also serve sushi, but closer to the real Japanese style sushi and not the over the top American style. It's simple stuff but the ingredients are fresh and tasty. The friend who told me about this place explained to me, "It's where all the sushi chefs go when they want sushi." (He is a sushi chef.)
  
  Warning: This place is no secret. Go either right when they open or near closing. Peak hours you could be waiting for more than an hour. No reservations. Worth it tho.

  I've been here many times and the food does not disappoint. Authentic Japanese food. Fresh sushi and amazing udon.
  
  Can get very busy, so if you're coming with a group be prepared to wait. If you're by yourself, the wait isn't too bad (if you don't mind sitting at the sushi bar) because they make the food very fast!
  
  Plenty of parking in the lot.
  
  Favorite udon: the classic, Ajishin!

  Where so I start....the wait for this place is always sooooooo long. Pro tip: come right when they open or right when they are about to close.
  
  The space is very small and cramped. During the winter months when people don't like to wait outside, the inside is soooo cramped with people waiting. The wait list and how they organize it is way confusing. You can call ahead to make reservations butttttttt they don't seat you when you arrive at the designated time, they document your time of arrival and somehow move you up the list a bit...(I can't explain it in all honesty, my average wait time is roughly 40 mins if I don't come during regular/peak time).
  
  The food I would say is mediocre to good at best. Nothing that I would say is phenomenal but it hits the spot for me since it's the only udon shop I know of around here. The sushi is okay, nothing too fancy. It's not high grade sushi for sure but okay. The best thing on the menu to me is the curry during lunch time since it reminds me of the Japanese restaurants I've been to in NY and Cali.
  
  There is a noodle bar and about 15 tables max If I recall correctly (could be less tables).

  - chirashi bowl 3.75/5
  - chirashi and udon combo 4/5 (something about the side of soup knocks it up a bit)

  FINALLY got to try the famous ajishin and was not disappointed. Realistically you need to show up 30 min before opening to get in line to be part of the first wave of seating because it's such a small place. Otherwise you'll be stuck waiting 1-1.5 hours for the wave 1 diners to finish their meal. So many options to choose from but you can't go wrong! I'll attach some photos to show you some of the deliciousness we had. Worth the drive from A2!
